Abuja is heating up!
The harmattan season is more or less at an end. That’s when the weather is cool/cold and very windy. Right now it’s baking hot outside. You can feel the heat coming in from the windows. It’s going to get hotter. Yesterday afternoon it was about 36 degrees celsius. Our air conditioners are going to be working overtime.
Almost got a maid last week. Unfortunately, she’s in hospital after having her appendix removed. The parents were hiding the fact that she was sick so that I would take her and then end up paying for her operation and taking care of her. When it became so bad, they had to rush her to hospital. She could have died. Thank God for little mercies. How would I have been taking care of her in hospital and taking care of my family as well. I have no family in Abuja and no one to help in that kind of situation. It would have been a nightmare. Well, the struggle continues as they say.
Time for a break and a long cool drink
