Exercising on hold

Due to my recent woes, my aerobic exercises on my elliptical trainer have been put on hold. I’ve developed some discomfort in one of my hip joints with some intermittent sharp twinges sometimes when I put weight on that side. What a pain (literally). I will have to restrict myself to some weight training until it resolves, hopefully soon. I felt a real sense of accomplishment because I was finally doing something about the weight that I’ve put on.

A lot of emphasis is put on aerobic exercise. It is important that you combine it with weight training about 3 times a week. It will make you lose weight faster because you will develop muscle which continues to burn energy even when you stop lifting the weights. It will also make you look leaner, so you won’t lose weight and still look flabby! But, as with any other form of exercise you decide to engage in, don’t overdo it. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.
